Wikipedia Information is not so accurate
New York - WikiePedia, the online encyclopedia that has drawn some decidedly juvenile pranks, is looking to impose more discipline with new restrictions on the editing of articles.
The latest changes come Wikipedia tries to balance a need for credibility and a desire for openness.
While anyone can still edit entries, the site is testing pages that won't register changes until they are approved by an experienced Wikipedia editor.
If the site's users respond well to the test run, the new restrictions will apply to all entries for living people in the next few weeks.
The idea is to block the kind of high profile vandalism that has marred some pages.
In one of the most recent embarrassments, Democratic Sens. Robert Byrd and Edward Kennedy were prematurely declared dead by rogue editors.
Still, Wikipedia risks discouraging legitimate editing if restrictions on changes or additions become too burdensome, keeping articles from getting better or keeping up with events. That maybe especially true on more obscure pages with fewer active volunteers to approve edits in a timely way.
Aware of the risks, Wikipedia has set the criteria for "experienced editors" status relatively low. Users who are registered for a few days can give changes the OK, said Jay Walsh, a spokesman for the nonprofit Wikimedia Foundation, which runs the site.
A more uniform system for filtering changes on Wikipedia represents a step back from the site's original philosophy, which is called for harnessing the collective knowledge of volunteer editors without any major restrictions.
But it is not the first time Wikipedia has attached some strings.
The same flagging process, for example, has been imposed on all entries in the German-language Wikipedia for more than a year.
On the English site, too, high-profile pages that are likely to be defaced, such as Michael Jackson's, have been tightly restricted.
Some observers believe Wikipedia must continue tightening editing policies if it wants to gain credibility.
"I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop," said Eric Goldman, director of the High Tech Law Institute at the Santa Clara University School of Law.
Goldman envisions a future Wikipedia curated by relatively small group of dedicated editors. Under the current model, he said, there are simply aren't enough volunteers to catch all errors.
"My hope is that Wikipedia still exists and is still considered a useful site," Goldman said. "But it will be at the point a very tightly controlled site. It won't have that veneer of a site that anyone can contribute to. They haven't closed the drawbridge. People can still get in. But it keeps going up and up and up."
Separately, the Omidyar Network, a philanthropic investment group started by eBay founder Pierre Omidyarm said Tuesday it is committing $2 million over 2 years to the Wikimedia Foundation. Omidyar Network's grant will support Wikimedia's goals of bringing free educational content to people around the world supporting more people to help create that content.
It follows last week's announcement of a $500,000 grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation to make Wikipedia's software more user friendly and to develop training materials to engage new potential volunteer editors.

Verzio Duplii TEKNO SPACE Review
What can I say about Verzio Duplii:
1. The phone is first of all has dual active sim capability. This means that you can use two sims on this phone and use it simultaneously without switching from sim to sim. It takes away the hassle of turning the phone off in order to use either of the sims.
2. It has 2.0 megapixels camera which I think is a cool feature for a dual sim phone like Verzio.
3. Upgradeable Memory. This phone is provided with a 2GB Micro SD memory card.
4. Doesn't have the TV feature. Unlike most China made dual sim phones. This doesn't have the TV feature which I think is the coolest feature anyone can have on their cellphones.
5. What sets this phone apart from all those dual sim phones out there is it's 3G capability. Browsing the internet with it's 3G internet speed is a breeze.
6. Another spec that I liked about this phone is that it has a Rex OS. By that I mean operating system. Unlike other dual sim phones, this one has a Qualcomm + Philips platforms. This means that you can actually install apps or tweak the phone to your personal liking. Put them together and you have one powerful phone.
7. Tri-band. This phone is Tri-band. You can use this phone anywhere you are in the world.
8. 3G video Call and Conferencing. Not all dual sim phone can do this. Yes, because it's 3G enabled.
9. You got the Radio feature, Video recording, 2.2" QVGA TFT Display, staring at those fine pictures that you just snapped is pleasure to your eyes.
10. Finally, it's fairly cheap for a phone that does a lot of things. The price is ranging from 10 - 13 thousand Php.

So here's the video. Take a look!

Facebook Buys Friendfeed
San Francisco - Facebook is buying a Web Service called FriendFeed that gives users a view of what their friends are doing on all sorts of social media site, including Facebook's rivals.
In an interview, FriendFeed co-founder Bret Taylor said the two services will eventually merge, though FriendFeed will operate seperatrly for now. He said FriendFeed was drawn to Facebook's much larger base of 250 million users.
"Facebook has a really unique opportunity for our team to reach a significant percentage of the world, and that was an opportunity I think everyone on our team was extremely excited about," he said.
<Facebook said all 12 employees of Mountain View, Calif-based FriendFeed will work for Facebook, whose headquarters is nearby in Palo Alto. FriendFeed's for founder - Taylor, Paul Bucheit, Jim Norris and Sanjeev Singh - will take on senior positions on the engineering and product teams at Facebook.
It's Unclear what exactly Facebook pland to do with FriendFeed, which centers around the idea of instantaneously aggregating information from online destinations like short-messaging site Twitter, review site Yelp and photo-sharing Flickr.
Gartner Inc. analyst Ray Vades said FriendFeed acquisition should help Facebook open up site and boost features that show users more information in real time.
"They needed to do something to meet the Twitter challenge," he said, referring to the messaging site that shown the type of buzz Facebook once enjoyed.
Chris Cox, Facebook's vice president of products, said the companies has been talking about a combination for sometime, as they're both working on solving the same problems: how to help people connect with one another over time, how to make these connections work on various devices and how to filter information through friends.
"I think both companies start with the premise that the most valuable information in the world is the one that comes from the people you care about," he said. "Building technologies that leverage those relationships everywhere you go is where we're both starting from."
Cox would not say if Facebook plans to incorporate FriendFeed's real time search capabality onto it's site. He said Facebook has already been testing real-time seacg that FriendFeed has done a great job with own search. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Sony PSP Go!
Okay, so not all of us have tried every game there is for the Sony PSP right? And now here is another Sony portable device that is rumored to take Sony PSP's place. This Sony product is called Sony PSP Go. This product was introduced during the E3 2009 Conference. And it's coming out October 1st for an introductory price of $249.00.
It is 50% smaller than the original PSP device and also 40% lighter. With this one Sony had made a big change with the gadget. Instead of the Universal Multi-media disk drive they replaced it with digital download which is what makes it even better than the original PSP. So you don't have to buy game cd's instead you are going to download it. Which is more nifty.
So guys! What do you think about the new PSP Go???

Damn! Connection is sluggish! TODAY!
My day has been very unpleasant.
I hate it. Have you had somebody ask you about yourself??? And don't know what to answer???
That's what happened to me today. You see, I was trying to apply for a job today and guess what, I did not get it. That sucks!
I guess it would be better if I'd just forget about it and move on. And hope that someday I'd use what I learned from today's experience.
Plus, today's connection is still very slugish. I don't know what is wrong with the connection today. I hope that somebody would do something about it. And bring back the life. Cause it is DEAD.

MacBook Air Review
Here we have the Apple MacBook Air. It is the latest addition of MacBook family from Apple. It is by far the thinnest and lightest MacBook that Apple has produced to date. It's got an interesting array of ports. It only has a single USB port. A standard audio in and out mini jack for your earphone or headset. It also has a mini DVI port for video out.
It has a very clean look with Silver finish. I am sure you geeks out there have seen the commercial where this MacBook Air fits inside a manila folder. Well, this is true but ofcourse this laptop considering it's thin and lightweight form this laptop can satisfy your need for a regular laptop. It runs smoothly but there are some lag when starting up some applications.
MacBook Air has a The 13-inch LED backlit screen which delivers crisp, bright and vibrant LCD display. Also inspite of it's ultra thin appearance the Air doesn't come short when it comes to typing essentials. The Air still has a complete full size keyboard.
ASUS U1F Review
Okay, so this is the ASUS U1F Laptop. It's relatively new in the market. It runs on Windows Vista, this is by far the lightest Vista powered laptop. It weights no more than 2.4 pounds. If you are looking for a portable laptop this one is for you. This ultra-portable laptop has great LCD Display it has a resolution of 1,366x768 pixels which makes it more than what it shows, and despite having 11 inches of display, it is still very clear with good levels of contrast and a wide viewing angle.
The keyboard makes a little clicking noises and the right shift key sits just above the up arrow key which makes it hard for touch typists. But all in all this baby is great.
This laptop also has a built in 1.3 camera located just above the screen and also has a nifty on and off wifi switch on the right side. Perfect for quicker on and off connection. It also has an express card slot just like every other laptops out there, it also has LAN and Modem ports. And a finger print reader located between the mouse buttons. Because the laptop comes with a blue tooth mouse.
This also has a very sturdy case. And its 4200-rpm 80GB hard drive is shock-mounted on foam railings.

What is Bluetooth?
What in the halibut's name is BLUETOOTH???
Bluetooth is a specification for the use of low
power radio communications to wireless phones,
computers, and other network wireless devices over
short distances. The name Bluetooth is actually
borrowed from Harald Bluetooth, a Denmark king
more than 1,000 years ago.
The technology of Bluetooth was primarily designed
to support simple wireless networking of devices
and peripherals, which includes cell phones, PDAs,
and wireless headsets. The wireless signals that
are transmitted by Bluetooth cover short distances
of up to 30 feet, generally communicating less
than 1 MPps (Mega Byte per second).
The networks of Bluetooth feature dynamic topology
called PAN or a piconet. The piconets contain a
minumum of two and a maximum of eight peer devices.
The devices will communicate using protocols that
are part of the specification.
Even though the Bluetooth standard will utilize
the same 2.4 GHz range as 802.11b and 802.11g,
the technology isn't suitable for a Wi-Fi
replacement. When compared to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
is much slower, limited in range, and actually
supports less devices.
For short range devices, Bluetooth is rapidly
becoming the best. The technology is more popular
with cell phones, as Bluetooth headsets are the
way to go these days. To use Bluetooth, your
cell phone will need to have it enabled, or an
infared device somewhere on the phone.
Upcoming devices are utilizing Bluetooth as well,
such as PS3 and the Nintendo Revolution. The
wireless controllers will be Bluetooth enabled,
which will give players the cutting edge.
If you own a cell phone or other wireless device,
you should look into Bluetooth. The technology
is nothing short of spectacular, making it
something that will be around for years and
years to come. As technology gets bigger and
bigger, you can expect Bluetooth to advance
as well.

G.I. Joe Experience
So today I had a chance to see the movie G.I Joe. When I went in the cinema the movie was almost over so I had to stay in and start the movie from the beginning. The movie did not have a lot of cool character like I expected it to be.
All I can say is that the movie was good. It was worth my money. The effects was amazing. So ultimately I was satisfied with the movie. I liked the character Snake eyes. He does not talk which makes him cool. There was a part there I think that was ending part of the movie where it all looked like I was watching a Star Wars movie with all the things blowing up and explosions and all that stuff but it took place under the sea so that makes it different.
I think the movie will not end there at least that's what I think. Because I have a feeling there will be a follow up to it. So all in all I think it's a great movie.

10 List to Improve Facebook Ettiquette
As people becoming more familiar with Facebook. Since Facebook has a different social networking style it also requires a different approach from users.
Here are some tips to better improve you Facebook experience.
Filter Friend - This means that you should always consider who you should let in on your friend connections or not. Cause if you just click accept all the time somebody adds you in their list by the time you get 100 + friends then you'll be flooded with all kinds of request.
Limit your updates - While Facebook is connected to Twitter and that offers a convenient way of letting your friends know what you are up to. It doesn't mean that you keep on clicking and pounding on that tweet button all the time. Because not every thing you do is interesting to some people.
Let is pass - Now, if you are bored and you see a very intriguing survey poll or a test. And you take it. And you find it amusing. You don't have to always share it with a friend.
No pokes. If you are over 16, don't "poke" people -- seriously.
Stay away from Groups - Don't just create groups. Create groups that you are interested in. For example make a group for your own friends or your classmates or co-workers.
Beware of embarrassing photos. Resist the temptation to post every last photo from your birthday party on Facebook, particularly images that may cast your guests in an unflattering light. If you have any doubt, ask the subjects of any iffy pics in advance whether they'd mind your posting the shots; then abide by their wishes.
Tag lightly. The same thing goes for tagging: The people in a picture might not object to its being online as long as their names are not associated with it.
Or … untag thyself. It is no breach of etiquette to untag yourself from any photograph. Remember, though, that untagging is permanent: You can't be retagged to a photo once the tag is removed.
Don't accept - Sometimes when we open our account to see if somebody sent you a message and you feel excited about it. And get dissapointed because nobody sent you a message but somebody sent you a friend request. Don't accept it immediately just because you are in dire need of Facebook activity or you want to fill out those empty spaces in your friends box. Think twice before accepting requests.
Limit Chatting - When you see that somebody is open for a chat session, think twice before clicking that button. Cause that person may be on Facebook but they may be not in the mood for a chat session.
Twitter Hacked!
Twitter has been hacked by some social media bandwidth bandit. Twitter has not undergone such devastating attack by an unknown culprit who wormed it's way in Twitter and hacked through people's accounts. But Twitter has had recent hacking incidents and survived and still Twitter retains it's strong footing.
Last month Twitter even had undergone an attack by some hacker who wormed his way through some big company executives' personal documents.

How to Fix the Blue Screen of Death
In this post I will be giving you a tip on how to fix your LCD Monitor in case your it goes berserk and gives you the dreaded Blue screen of death....
Here are the steps to follow:
- Reboot you computer in safe mode.
- Once in safe mode, do a system restore.
- If you made a restore point, then you should be ready to run after the system restore. Otherwise, Windows saves a restore point at regular intervals.
- Choose the most recent, and work your way backwards if that doesn't work.
The Ultimate Luxury Phone
Okay, so I have stumbled on this info just recently and I was stunned because I had not imagined that there would be a cellphone so expensive. This is a phone made by Vertu.
This phone is priced at, hold on to your pants guys.......$4,484.oo
This phone like every phone that they produce is hand made at the company's headquarters in London. The Vertu constellation series pictured here was created by Frank Nuovo as a "handset of sophistication and substance".
In this collection, you'll find burgundy leather with satin stainless steel keys, rich dark brown leather set in 18-carat yellow gold, or other luxurious combinations - the choice is yours.
Mobile phone models come and go, but when they are made of quality materials and designed with style, they last forever. Think of it as the triumph of style over silicon.
Some Of The Things We Don't Know
