A60 shipping on its way at 400 USD

Another android market player is now in the game, Gateway has just released their entry tablet which is the Gateway TP Series A60, android fans will surely distinguish this newcomer, based from its unique look. Gateway isn't that new to this game since Gateway is owned by Acer, if you would look closely the Gateway A60 kinda looks a lot like the Acer Iconia, some would say it is the rebranded version of Acer Iconia.

The A60 is going to run on Android 3.1 Honeycomb, the screen is quite big though, its a touchscreen 10.1 inch and with a 1280 by 800 resolution, runs on Nvidia Tegra 2 Dual Core CPU. With a ram memory of 1GB, quite the right speed for the usual tablet user needs. The storage capacity is around 16GB that is for the internal and the tablet is expandable with SD card. This tablet has 5mp rear facing auto focus camera with a 2 mp front facing camera as well. That is just what I need to conferencing and sometime web chatting with relatives.

The tablet's connectivity is okay, it has WiFi connection, Bluetooth, GPS, and a pair of USB ports. The battery is okay,  with a 6520mAh battery that can run for up to 8 hours. The unit is set to sail for the Canadian shores with a price to $400 CAD, you can also get them at Future Shop.
